Reflections ~ I saw it this way...by Janice Brown

When we expand our way of thinking into an outward way of being, there is a need for a broader consideration and this is what we talk about here.
At last, there is a way we can begin to see the powerful dynamics that exist between the inner self and outer self and the independent and interdependent relationships of individual self-governance, collective self-governance, and the governance of the whole.
These terms, though used in traditional applications, begin to take on a new meaning as we broaden our horizons into new territories of understanding. The birth right of every human being is to be held in a place of respect and dignity.
We are on a path to understanding the Self
Were it not for unfortunate circumstances, sometimes catastrophic events, and periodic misfortune, the world would seem a whole lot different than it is. In actuality, there is a disturbance of thought that occurs as one gets closer and closer to a new way of understanding the self. is that the outward expression of worth has been diminished to such an extent that the inward expression of worth has become maligned in some way.
This is easiest to understand from a perspective I'll call ‘the kid next door scenario’. When this interaction is put into play, it is, in essence, like a safety harness that has been instituted to allow the kid who ventures, to move outside of their realm of space into a new territory of understanding, the kid next door's space.
The new understanding then becomes the next launch point for the next, and so the story goes. From neighbour to neighbourhood, from neighbourhood to community, and from community to world.
Once in a while, a pivotal understanding will go in a leeward direction just to have the experience of a full scope of leaning away from the course and trajectory that have become the path. The path itself is certain; it is only the journey that is holding the rafters together, so to speak.
So, let’s look at this as a new dynamic.
What happens when the world shuts down and closes itself off from its neighbour? There can be misfortune, misunderstanding, and sometimes considerable effort to maintain the status quo, even when the status quo is without resources, funding, or dynamic support. In a way, these structures begin to collapse in on themselves, and then this becomes a new ritual of distortion or failure in the eyes of those who can’t see how it can be another way.
Once in a while a person who comes along, who takes a look down at the rubble, shakes their head, and says, "What a shame,” before going on their way.
Then there are times where a friend or colleague comes along and offers a helping hand, pulls you out of the sinkhole, and dusts you off for the next day’s venture. These are conglomerate times. That’s when another energy has come along and extrapolated its own energy forward into a respectful, mutually beneficial circumstance to right a wrong per se, but really all that has been done is an energetic envelopment to allow for a repositioning.
Now, when these types of experiences begin happening between people, friend or foe, the dynamic is altered, and it can be a new place for resilience, or it can be an opportunity for growth, or it can simply be an absolution of what was.
When an absolution comes, it is the framework for a new beginning. A new beginning can be built from the rubble of yesterday, or it can step forward fresh and clean out of the pile as if it never knew it was there in the first place.
That’s what makes the world such an interesting place.
The dynamic of hope vs. the dynamic of despair.
The dynamic of reason vs. the dynamic of obligation.
The dynamic of resilience vs. the dynamic of failure.
There just aren’t enough words to put this all into context, so I’ll simply say that the most powerful form of attachment is the one that is held through the sense of obligation vs. the sense of desire.
Desire is a creative force; it doesn't take a stranglehold on a situation and force a certain dynamic forward against its will. It always allows for the 'won’t' of the scenario to unwind itself, and then once the footing is on equal ground again, it re-establishes its mechanism of faith and trust.
The world doesn’t bend itself out of obligation or ‘will not’; the world curves itself in a forward direction through the trajectory of a path that is most misunderstood, and this is the trajectory of hope.
Hope is a stronghold. It sets itself forward and doesn’t pivot or stall; it always remains in the peripheral view, and then when it suddenly seems like life is at its bleakest, it rears its head and says, ‘I’m still here. Right here. I’ve got you’.
This is what it takes to move forward on an uncertain path: the ability to say, ‘I trust my reason EVEN if I can't see the whole way through’. It’s saying, ‘I know it looks bleak, but that's through the viewing lens of an experience I've had before, and this experience doesn’t have to be the same; isn't the same; could never be the same.’
And 'same’ and ‘similar’ have put the world into a whole lot of hurt, and that’s why we have to get quite deliberate about what it is we are feeling, saying, and communicating. We don’t even speak the same language most days, and that in itself sets us up for some hard times. You can say a single word, and it means something different to your child, your friend, or your partner, whatever the relationship is, you each are having a different experience of it.
How can we go through life without emotional interpretation? We can't, and that’s why this world is so confounding some days. We simply need to take time to understand each other better.
For example, “How come when I say this, you think it means that? That wasn’t anywhere near what I was trying to say.” Ever had that experience? I have had that experience; I’ve watched it slap people against the walls of ruin. I’ve seen it distribute a boatload of fear so far off the edge that the whole vessel almost sank. The scenarios are endless. We've all seen them.
It’s all perception, and that’s what I am talking about today and every day. We talk about resilience as if it's some catchphrase that sums up all the scenarios that we need to keep moving forward. Resilience is a necessity. It is quantifiable in ways that haven’t been explored, and who could really explore what the Heart and Mind have to say without some form of tool for evaluation?
There is a tool, and the tool is what we have been trying to establish as a framework for reference through the body of work known as SolePath.
SolePath is the architecture of the human Heart and Mind in deliberate and quantifiable fields of understanding. You are going to have to walk a long way with me to see the full picture, but when it starts to shimmer and shine, you’re going to be going out of your mind to go back to some of these foundational understandings and pull them into your own conscious awareness.
We’ll start at the beginning of the path for a newbie, look at the framework of understanding, turn the cylinder a little bit, and go back over the whole course of material again in another framework, and you will have a completely new and different experience.
And this is how it is for me.
And this is how it is for you.
And this is how it is for humanity at large.
All races, all creeds, all religions, all fellowships, and all mankind are walking within a framework that they have an idle understanding of. It breaks hearts, moves mountains, paves over pathways, and reconstructs new eras, and it's all sitting right here for you to explore, IF you know how to look at it.
And beginning right here and right now, I’m going to share my own framework with you so you can see how I bend and fold from time to time.
What it takes is a momentary suspension of belief or ‘will not’ and then once you’re on the other side of that, you’ll be having parties down the block with your own new understanding of circumstances and scenarios that you have never explored in your life before. Not ever.
A Kaleidoscope of Light
Your SolePath is arguably the most important piece of information you will ever know about yourself. You’ll sit and ponder this from time to time and think, ‘Why in the hell did I do this that way?’ And you’ll see it staring right back at you in plain English. And you’ll be gobsmacked.
So here’s what we’re going to do, triangulate. Triangulate your worth into an experience worth having instead of chopping yourself down. These are real experiences of life and living, and we’ll see where you move forward, sidestep, or triangulate into a new reference point. It can be abrupt, it can be disturbing, it can be distorting, and it can be delightful.
What are you going to do with the accoutrements of living a life on purpose if you aren’t stepping forward in worth? Not much.
In fact, even when you are, it's not much different than what you’ve done your whole life long, and then suddenly you’ll see it—the breakaway that was always waiting there just for you. It could only ever be fulfilled by you, and that’s the way you’re going to need to start looking at things.
My friend Dr. Debra, says it like this:
‘There is a part you are to play that no one else can play; a life you are to live that no one else can live.’ - Dr. Debra Ford Msc.D
I’ve seen that for myself, and you need to know that there is something here for you to explore, for you to be, and for you to know, and then you’ll really understand that everything else has been window dressing in some way or another. That’s not to diminish a whole life of living. That's to say, it served its purpose until you found your Purpose, and once you found your Purpose, the dynamic around it changed. It could be forever, it could be never, it could be once in a while, it could be no more, or it could be not ever again.
And that’s how the world suddenly begins to be seen, through eyes of such certainty that you can’t rightly explain yourself; you just have to say that it can be another way, and I’m going to see to it that it is.
It takes profound patience. It takes bravery, heck, it takes guts! And then sometimes it takes softness and breathability, and a gentle unfolding. You will find yourself backed against a wall that didn’t exist a split second ago, and then fight for your life with your last breath for a single chance to see the wisp of a butterfly's wing.
You are more, so much more than you have ever given yourself credit for, and that’s what we want you to know. That’s what you need to know. That’s how we need to see each other.
And if we don’t, if we can't, we need to learn.
This is life.
This is living.
This is what we talk about here.
I saw it this way.
~ A Girl
I’ve been working with the Tao as long as I’ve lived; and so have you. Here’s what that means to me, I’m a problem solver and I use the Tao as a framework for my discussion. In my writing and my work, I share with you how I use it, and you can decide if that’s helpful for you or not.
Janice writes from the Heart in the moment. She writes specifically from her point of view. You may not have seen it this way before, but that's the whole point—to turn it around and look at it another way.
Trajectories of the Tao
by Rev. Janice Brown DTCM, sp.M (master), CS.p
Janice is both a doctor of Chinese medicine and a Reverend with a metaphysical practice that specializes in the Tao. This includes exploring the 'Me', the independent or the individual. The individual benefit of understanding the wisdom of the Tao and the application of these understandings in your own life experience. This also includes the 'We', the collective whole. The collective benefit is to begin to see that we have an interdependence that is so intrinsic to the framework of living that we can not go a single day without the collective experience being enfolded into our personal life experience.
